i am SO excited to share the first sneak peek of my wallpaper line with @chasingpaper! we used the prints in my collection as a background pattern for seven inspiration boards, to help tell the story behind every paper. the collection is inspired by my time growing up in palm beach, and the punchy patterns, happy hues and joy for life that you find all over the island. i worked with the insanely talented artist @ashleyd_studio to bring to life my ideas, and she hit the nail on the head. huge thank you to @elizabeth__rees for taking a chance and creating the first interior designer wallpaper collection at @chasingpaper with me, and to @abbyl_ward for creating these boards that bring to life the concept of each paper and the story behind it. stay tuned as i share more boards each week leading up to the launch in june! #arielokinxchasingpaper ?? PS: the collection will be available in both peel and stick and traditional wallpaper (hello, renters!) and you will also be able to visualize the paper in your own homes with VR technology! ??

Never overlook the powder room for within those small walls lies so many design opportunities. When tasked to transform this small bath at the Kips Bay Show House in Palm Beach, Los Angeles-based designer Joe Lucas of @lucasstudioinc took the opportunity to play with whimsical motifs and delightfully moody colors, but not without the help of beloved textile company @cwstockwell. Schools of koi rush the walls in CW Stockwell's revival of a post-war pattern, adding an unexcepted moment of interest in the small space. The duo's partnership doesn't end with this room though. As a part of the second round of the #DesignUnites auction, you can bid to win a virtual design consultation with @joeyluke to transform your powder room with fabrics and wallpapers from CW Stockwell. All proceeds from the special charity sale organized by the Hearst Luxury Design Collection goes to support @habitatnyc's Emergency Housing Response Fund.
